KARA TEACHES CLARK HOW TO FLY – Kara decides to teach Clark how to fly in order to strengthen his chances against Brainiac. However, Brainiac seems to have the upper hand against the super cousins, and some of Clark’s loved ones are caught in the crossfire.

LEX AND LANA’S WEDDING DAY – On the day of Lex and Lana’s wedding, Lex receives a call from Dr. Langston who threatens to tell Lana the truth about her baby. Lana begins to have second thoughts about marrying Lex and Clark comes to his own realization that he can’t let Lana marry Lex and decides to tell her about his secret. However, no one is prepared for what happens when Lionel Luthor steps in.

DC COMICS’ CHARACTER MARTIAN MANHUNTER COMES TO CLARK’S AID -Clark is attacked and wakes up in a mental asylum where the attending physician, Dr. Hudson, tells him he has been there for five years due to his elaborate fantasy that he has alien superpowers. In this new world, Martha is married to Lionel Luthor, Chloe is deemed insane and Lana chose Clark over Lex. Lana begs Clark to agree to Dr. Hudson’s treatments so they can be together, but when a fellow patient named John, A.K.A Martian Manhunter, tells him the good doctor is actually a phantom and he needs to kill him in order to return to reality, Clark must make the toughest decision of his life.

BRIANIAC BRINGS CHAOS UPON THE WORLD AND DEMANDS A HUGE SACRIFICE FROM CLARK – Brainiac unleashes a deadly virus, which will kill millions of people, and refuses to give Clark the vaccine unless he agrees to release General Zod. Clark turns to Lionel, who once again channels Jor-El. Meanwhile, Lex is stunned by his newfound powers and shares the discovery with Lana, who decides to stand by her new man, unaware of the shocking turn Lex’s life is about to take due to Brainiac’s evil machinations.
5.18 Fragile
TOM WELLING’S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT – Clark and Martha take in a little girl, Maddie, after her foster mother is brutally stabbed to death. However, after it is discovered that Maddie has the power to shatter glass, she becomes the prime suspect. Meanwhile, Chloe walks in on Lex and Lana during an intimate moment.

THE RACE GETS UGLY BETWEEN JONATHAN AND LEX – Jonathan receives threats on his life from a mysterious source who urges him to drop out of the senate race. Later, Clark finds his dad bloody and beaten and becomes determined to find his attacker. He later discovers that a group of Lex’s followers are determined to do anything to see that Lex wins the election. Lois’ life is threatened when she’s captured and asked to assassinate Jonathan during his speech. Lionel offers to give Martha money to help Jonathan’s campaign. Lana is convinced that the answers she is looking for lie in researching the first meteor shower.
5.08 Solitude
PROFESSOR FINE CONVINCES CLARK TO DESTROY THE FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE – After Martha contracts a strange disease and is given hours to live, Clark turns to Professor Fine, who convinces Clark that Jor-El is the one responsible for her illness and the only way to save her is to destroy the Fortress of Solitude. However, once the two arrive at the Fortress, Professor Fine tries to free Zod and kill Clark.
4.22 Commencement
THE 90-MINUTE SEASON FINALE IS PACKED WITH MURDER, BETRAYAL AND AN UNFORGETTABLE GRADUATION DAY FOR ALL – Clark’s (Tom Welling) high school graduation ceremony is interrupted by a second meteor shower that hits Smallville. Clark goes to the caves to confront his father Jor-El, who says that if Clark does not reunite the three Kryptonian crystals, Earth will be annihilated. Meanwhile, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) helps Lana (Kristin Kreuk), out of a bloody situation she finds herself in. His motives, however, are not solely in her best interests. As disaster looms, Chloe (Allison Mack) and Lois (Erica Durance) try to find Lana while Clark attempts to reassemble the stones, and someone makes an unexpected return to make things unpleasant for the Kents.

LIFEHOUSE ROCKS THE SMALLVILLE PROM – On the eve of the Smallville High School Prom, stuck-up candidate for Prom Queen Dawn Stiles is pulled into a coma when she crashes her car into a ravine filled with kryptonite. While her body lies in a coma, Dawn finds that her spirit can possess the bodies of others. To continue her quest to become Prom Queen, Dawn possesses the bodies of Martha (Annette O’Toole), Lana (Kristin Kreuk), Lois (Erica Durance), and Chloe (Allison Mack) in turn, leaving Clark bewildered at the abrupt personality change of his family and friends.

LEX’S DARK SIDE EMERGES AFTER A KRYPTONITE EXPLOSION – A black Kryptonite explosion splits Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) in two and his evil side – Alexander – is released. Alexander imprisons Lex in the mansion then gives full vent to his evil side – he threatens to evict Lana (Kristin Kreuk) from the Talon unless she becomes his mate, jousts with Lionel (John Glover) , and tries to kill Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison mack) when they figure out his secret.
4.16 Lucy
LOIS LANE’S SISTER, LUCY, COMES TO TOWN – Lucy Lane, Lois’ (Erica Durance) younger sister, comes to Smallville but Clark (Tom Welling) catches her stealing money from the Talon to pay off a European crime syndicate. Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) offers to help but everything is not what it seems. Meanwhile, a thief breaks into Lana’s (Kristin Kreuk) apartment and steals the crystal, and Jason (Jensen Ackles) suspects Lionel (John Glover).
4.14 Krypto
SUPERDOG TO THE RESCUE – Lois (Erica Durance) accidentally hits a dog and brings it back to the farm to heal, but Clark (Tom Welling) quickly realizes it has super-strength. He investigates and discovers it was part of an aborted LuthorCorp experiment…and that robbers are using the dogs to help them steal money. Meanwhile, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) wonders what Jason (Jensen Ackles) is up to with his mother, and Jason is forced to ask Genevieve (Jane Seymour) a few questions of his own.
