CLARK AND LOIS INVESTIGATE CHLOE’S MURDER – Clark (Tom Welling) and Lois Lane (Erica Durance) investigate Chloe’s (Allison Mack) apparent murder, but are stopped by an army officer, General Sam Lane (guest star Michael Ironside), who turns out to be Lois’ father. Lois suspects that Sam knows more about Chloe’s death than he will admit, and Clark discovers that Sam has recently been in contact with Lex (Michael Rosembaum). Jason (Jensen Ackles) arrives from Paris and convinces Lana (Kristin Kreuk) to continue their relationship. Suspecting that Chloe is still alive, Lionel (John Glover) sends an assassin with the power to morph his limbs into metallic weapons to keep Chloe from testifying against him.
A MYSTERIOUS GIRL FROM KRYPTON COMES TO TAKE CLARK HOME – Things come to a head in Smallville when Kara, a beautiful girl with superpowers, who claims to be from Krypton, comes to entice Clark to fulfill his destiny. Overwhelmed, Clark turns to his parents for advice but is shocked when Kara forces Jonathan to finally reveal the deal he made with Jor-El. Also, Clark makes a discovery that ultimately redefines his relationship with Lex, and Clark’s relationship with Lana takes a final turn. Meanwhile, Lex turns the tables on Lionel with the FBI.
A Smallville honor student who can clone himself at will kills a teacher to avoid a bad grade, then develops a romantic interest in Chloe and Lana. Meanwhile, Martha feels guilty about her career choices after Jonathan is injured in an accident on the Kent farm while she is at work.
Smallville residents face tumultuous times when the town’s major employer threatens to shut down as the series concludes its first season. The commotion starts when Lionel Luthor announces that the LuthorCorp plant is closing, despite turning its first profit in years. Lex suspects that the decision is his father’s retaliation for Lex’s rejection of an earlier offer to work in Metropolis, so he’s not taking the news lying down. Meanwhile, Clark finds his personal life in turmoil when he learns disparate circumstances may cause both Chloe and Whitney to leave Smallville. A performance by the band Remy Zero is also featured.
A head injury gives Lana the ability to see through the eyes of a kidnapper who abducts Chloe and keeps her bound and blindfolded in a dark room filled with giant teddy bears. Meanwhile, an ambitious newspaper reporter provides Lex with new information about the meteor shower.
An old Kent family friend, who suffers from uncontrollably violent convulsions after working for Luthor Corp., shows up on the farm after accidentally killing a man in Metropolis. Meanwhile, when Clark’s parents head to the city for a romantic getaway, the teen decides to host a party that soon gets out of hand.
