IT’S CLARK VS ZOD IN THE SEASON FINALE – Zod (Callum Blue) unleashes his army upon the world, forcing Chloe (Allison Mack) to call in reinforcements from old friends. Zod tells Lois (Erica Durance) he is The Blur and asks her to steal the Book of Rao from Clark (Tom Welling). Torn between Clark and The Blur, Lois asks Clark to come clean with her about everything but he refuses. Chloe (Allison Mack) and Oliver (Justin Hartley) attempt to reconnect Watchtower’s satellite system in order to fight the Kandorians but to Chloe’s horror, Oliver gets caught on site and disappears. Tess attempts to stop Zod but he leaves her clinging to life. Clark and Zod battle for control of Earth.

CHLOE AND TESS ARE TRAPPED INSIDE WATCHTOWER — Tess (Cassidy Freeman) breaks into Watchtower, triggering an elaborate security system that Chloe (Allison Mack) installed, ultimately trapping the two women inside. Chloe realizes that The Kandorians are downloading information about from the Watchtower server, which prompts her to make a drastic move. Oliver (Justin Hartley) confronts Zod (Callum Blue) and winds up clinging to life with a “Z” scorched into his chest. Clark (Tom Welling) realizes Zod has given his soldiers super powers.

BACK TO THE FUTURE — Tess (Cassidy Freeman) kidnaps Lois (Erica Durance) to find out where Lois went after she disappeared for weeks. Lois’s memory of the future depicts a Metropolis under Zod’s (Callum Blue) rule and Clark (Tom Welling) powerless under the red sun, while Chloe (Allison Mack) forms a resistance group with Oliver (Justin Hartley). After learning of these future events, Clark makes an important decision about Zod.

JOR-EL APPEARS IN SMALLVILLE — Jor-El (guest star Julian Sands) mysteriously arrives at the Kent farm searching for his son, Kal-El, but meets Chloe (Allison Mack) instead.  Convinced the Blur is Jor-El, Zod (Callum Blue) enlists Tess’s (Cassidy Freeman) help in finding him to force him to reveal the secret to his powers.  Clark (Tom Welling) realizes Jor-El is alive and on Earth and races to find him before Zod does.

BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN (“TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES”) GUEST STARS AS JOHN CORBEN – Clark (Tom Welling) tells Jor-El he¹s ready to start his training, but Jor-El sends him back to Metropolis to cut ties with Lois before he can begin. Chloe (Allison Mack) is shocked when Lois (Erica Durance) suddenly reappears after having been missing for weeks, but Lois has no recollection of vanishing into thin air with the Legion ring. While investigating a monorail crash, Lois meets John Corben (guest star Brian Austin Green), a new reporter at The Daily Planet, with a negative attitude toward the Red-Blue Blur. Chloe begs Clark to use the Legion ring to go back in time to save Jimmy, but he refuses, driving a wedge into their friendship. Meanwhile, Oliver (Justin Hartley) continues down a dark road, and Zod (Callum Blue) arrives at the Luthor mansion.

THE RACE GETS UGLY BETWEEN JONATHAN AND LEX – Jonathan receives threats on his life from a mysterious source who urges him to drop out of the senate race. Later, Clark finds his dad bloody and beaten and becomes determined to find his attacker. He later discovers that a group of Lex’s followers are determined to do anything to see that Lex wins the election. Lois’ life is threatened when she’s captured and asked to assassinate Jonathan during his speech. Lionel offers to give Martha money to help Jonathan’s campaign. Lana is convinced that the answers she is looking for lie in researching the first meteor shower.

LEX IS VISITED BY THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS FUTURE – Lex is given an envelope with damaging information that will destroy Jonathan’s life and must decide whether he will use it as it will also bring harm to Clark and Martha. Before he can decide what to do, Lex is shot and falls into a coma. He dreams that his mother visits him and shows him the life he could lead if he walks away from his father and LuthorCorp. In this alternate life, Lex is happily married to Lana with a baby on the way. Meanwhile, Chloe asks Clark to use his powers to deliver Christmas presents to needy kids.
