Come and kneel before Zod! Callum Blue has signed on for two seasons of SMALLVILLE and says he will be in 16 of the 22 episodes this year. So plan on a Zod heavy season fans. Meanwhile, Erica Durance is promising a bit of a love triangle involving Oliver Queen, Clark and Lois.

“We came into this season with 100 ideas, we have a lot of stories,” Souders says. “The studio wants to satisfy the fans. They are not going to tell us in episode 21 ‘Let’s end it.’ They are going to give it time.”

SPOILER ALERT! Clark Kent (Tom Welling) is getting a little obsessed as the Red Blue Blur, his budding crime-fighting alias. “He is trying a little too hard to be a hero, and is leaving the rest of his life behind,” says executive producer Brian Peterson. That might be just as well given the big comic-book-inspired villains the soon-to-be Superman will face this year including Metallo and Zod.

We're actually hearing of a "strained relationship" between Chloe and Clark next season on Smallville. Those two will always work together, and they will always be your "Chloe and Clark," but expect some tension in season nine. Sorry guys.

Green will appear as the kryptonite-powered villain (alter ego "Daily Planet" journo John Corben) in at least the first two episodes of Season 9, which takes flight Friday, Sept. 25.
