Clark Kent

Clark Kent (Season 1 – Present)

Clark Kent was born Kal-El to Jor-El and Lara-El. He was sent to Earth after his planet Krypton was about to be destroyed. His ship crashed in Miller’s Field, Smallville, Kansas where he was found and illegally adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent where they named him Clark. Over the years, Clark has developed many Kryptonian powers that grow stronger as he gets older. After the death of his father, Clark dropped out of Central Kansas A&M. He currently manages the Kent Farm single-handedly.

Clark has been using his powers to anonymously fight crime in Metropolis. Clark currently works at the Daily Planet, where he is partnered with Lois Lane. He has published one obituary but is usually referred to as a copyboy.

Allison Mack is Chloe Sullivan

Allison Mack is Chloe Sullivan

Chloe Sullivan (Season 1 – Present)

Chloe Sullivan is Clark’s closest friend and superhero sidekick. She worked for years as a reporter for the Daily Planet, and currently manages the Isis Foundation. She recently joined Oliver Queen’s hero team under the codename Watchtower.

She recently married Jimmy Olsen. She is very close to her cousin, Lois Lane.

She has manifested as a vessel for part of Brainiac’s programming– she acquired his computer intelligence and knowledge of the universe after he tried to re-wire her nervous system. Brainiac was defeated and separated from Chloe by Clark and the Legion of Superheroes.

She is currently helping Davis Bloome control Doomsday inside him by letting him be near her without anyone’s knowing after his attempted suicide failed.

Lois Lane (Season 4 – Present)

Lois Lane is the bold, outspoken, older cousin of Chloe Sullivan. Her relationship with Clark Kent is full of teasing that sometimes gets the best of them. She currently works as a journalist for the Daily Planet.

Justin Hartley is Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow

Oliver Queen (Season 6 – Present)

Oliver Queen is the billionaire CEO of Queen Industries, who also masquerades as a Green Arrow.

He has a rivalry with Lex Luthor which began during their time together at boarding school. He also has a complicated past with Tess Mercer. He is also the founder of a team of pro-active heroes that has gathered many metahumans together to bring down Lex Luthor.

In 2009, he discussed merging Queen Industries with LuthorCorp. However, the day he was to discuss the merge with the LuthorCorp Board, every member was killed in an explosion. It is unclear how much influence or stake he currently holds in the company.

Major Zod (Season 9)

General Zod was a Kryptonian warlord who thrived on power and conquest. He was partly responsible for the destruction of his home planet Krypton.

A younger version of Zod was transported to Earth by the Orb along with his soldiers. He took over the Luthor Mansion, where he imprisoned Tess Mercer. Confused by their sudden appearance on Earth yet having none of the powers they were suppose to have, his troops began to question his leadership, but he assured them that he would find the answers that they were looking for or die trying. Trusting his word, all the troops knelt before him and left the mansion, erasing all the footage of the past three weeks.

Tess Mercer (Season 8  – Present)

Tess Mercer is the CEO of LuthorCorp. After the merger between Queen Industries and LuthorCorp, she made Oliver Queen the official owner and de facto CEO.

Davis Bloome is the Earth camouflage for the Kryptonian creature Doomsday

Davis Bloome (Season 8 )

Davis Bloome is the Earth camouflage for the Kryptonian creature known as Doomsday. He was sent to Earth as genetic matter attached to Kal-El’s ship; his true monstrous form would remain camouflaged, adapting to the world it was sent to until it was ready to destroy the civilization. As a “human,” Davis is a paramedic at Metropolis General Hospital.

His evil side started to encroach on his human persona when he became angry and murdered Linda Lake. In order to control the beast within, he went on a murder spree, killing people whom he perceived as bad, but Jimmy Olsen witnessed him committing a murder. He managed to convince everyone that Jimmy was hallucinating. Soon after, Chloe and Clark discovered his killing spree and his true origins. He tried to kill himself in a kryptonite cage, but it failed so he turned to Chloe for help, since being near her suppresses Doomsday inside of him.

Jimmy Olsen (Season 6 – Season 8 )

Jimmy Olsen is a very skilled photographer who worked at the Daily Planet and is very good at manipulating digital images.

On his and Chloe’s wedding day, he was injured by a mysterious creature and was taken to a hospital in Star City. He is currently trying to manage life after a five-week painful recovery. Upon returning to his hometown, he began to suspect that Davis Bloome was a murderer, but became desperate and upset when no one, not even Chloe, believed him. He separated from his wife and dealing with the physical and psychological ramifications of his attack. He also quit his job at the Daily Planet.

He is now bartending at the Ace of Clubs.

Kristin Kreuk is Lana Lang

Lana Lang (Season 1 – Season 7, Season 8 guest star)

Lana Lang is Clark Kent’s first love and Lex Luthor’s ex-wife. She founded the Isis Foundation, a non-profit devoted to helping meteor-infected metahumans. After she faked her death to get out of her marriage with Lex, she later returned to Smallville and moved in with Clark and his cousin Kara.

She fell victim to Brainiac in his attempts to control Clark and Kara and was in a strange catatonic state for weeks. Lana awoke after Clark destroyed Brainiac and has moved away from Smallville. She later returned to Smallville for Chloe and Jimmy’s wedding. She was successfully fused with Project Prometheus. When Lex Luthor had Winslow Schott put a kryptonite bomb on the roof of the Daily Planet, she was forced to absorb the kryptonite. This infected her with kryptonite and therefore can no longer be with Clark. She left Smallville to use her abilities for good.

Michael Rosenbaum is Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor (Season 1 – Season 7)

Lex Luthor was the billionaire CEO of LuthorCorp. He is the son of Lionel Luthor and Lillian Luthor. He had a thick mop of red hair as a child but has been bald since age nine after being caught in the 1989 meteor shower.

He finally turned to darkness and abused his company’s assets and resources to fund questionable and most likely illegal scientific research on cloning and alien intelligence. He recently purchased Metropolis’ main newspaper, the Daily Planet and named himself CEO.

In the late spring of 2008, he discovered Clark’s secret. He then placed the Orb in the console of the Fortress of Solitude causing it to collapse on him and Clark. He somehow survived the collapse and was being kept alive via machines and was relying on the success of Project Prometheus. However due to the interference of Lana Lang, Prometheus was used on her instead. Oliver got revenge on him by planting one of his own bombs under the truck he was in, seemingly killing him.

Kara Kent (Season 7, Season 8 guest star)

Kara Kent is Clark’s Kryptonian cousin, the daughter of Zor-El and Jor-El’s niece. Chloe created a false backstory to cover her’s sudden appearance in Smallville, explaining that she is Clark’s cousin on his adoptive father’s side, raised in Minnesota.

She became the target of Brainiac, who forced her to follow him, and they disappeared into space. Brainiac trapped her in the Phantom Zone. Chloe rescued both her and Clark from the Phantom Zone.

Currently, she is searching for the lost city of Kandor in space.

John Glover is Lionel Luthor

John Glover was Lionel Luthor

Lionel Luthor (Season 1 – Season 7)

Lionel Luthor (1944 – 2008) was the founder of LuthorCorp and the father of Lex Luthor. He was also a member of Veritas.

He was also the Kryptonian vessel for Clark Kent’s father, Jor-El. Jor-EL would inhabit him if his son needed him. He is buried in Metropolis.

Martha Kent (Season 1 – Season 6)

Martha Kent is the widow of the late Jonathan Kent, adoptive mother of Clark Kent, and US Senator for the state of Kansas.

Having a family was something she wanted very much, and when she and Jonathan were unable to have children, she and Jonathan took baby Kal-El naming him “Clark”.

After Jonathan’s death, she took his position in the Kansas State Senate and focused her energy on her new job. In addition, her and Lionel Luthor’s shared background and ideals formed into a close friendship. She served for over a year until the death of Senator Ed Burke. She took Burke’s US Senate position and moved to Washington, DC, to fulfill her duties.

John Schnieder was Jonathan Kent

Jonathan Kent (Season 1 – Season 5)

Jonathan Kent (1961-2006) was the husband of Martha Kent and the adoptive father of Clark Kent. He died of heart failure on January 26, 2006, the night he was elected Kansas State Senator. He is buried in Smallville Cemetery, adjacent to his family’s farm.

Pete Ross (Season 1 – Season 3, Season 7 guest star)

Pete Ross was Clark Kent’s childhood best friend.

He befriended Clark in early childhood. When he was bullied, Clark came to his defense. He met Chloe in eighth grade and harbored a crush on her for years before telling her.

Clark did not share his secret with him until they were fifteen years old. When an NBI agent began investigating Clark, he targeted Pete and beat him up. After that, he decided that he could no longer stay in Smallville without either being killed or revealing Clark’s secret so he moved to Wichita with his mother.

Jensen Ackles was Jason Teague

Jason Teague (Season 4)

Jason Teague was a student at Central Kansas A&M, and the assistant football coach at Smallville High School. He was also Lana’s boyfriend during her senior year of high school.

He was apparently killed when a meteor struck the Kents’ house directly above where he was standing.

Eric Johnson was Whitney Fordman

Whitney Fordman (Season 1)

Whitney Fordman was a star quarterback at Smallville High School. As a high school senior, he was a member of the popular crowd. He dated the beautiful cheerleader Lana Lang, and he and Lana were elected Homecoming King and Queen. After graduation, he joined the United States Marines; he was killed in action in Indonesia.

  2. Jimmy Olsen was also in season 6 and Martha Kent was in Smallville up until and including Season 6 so you might want to fix the mistakes

    (sorry I’m just a little obsessed with him, lol) emphasis on the “little”

  4. smallville isn’t the same anymore without michael rosenbaum, john, glover, john schneider, and annette o’toole. but also lionel and jonathon are dead so i guess that would be stupid to bring them back. they need to bring back annette o’toole and michael rosenbaum for season 10.

  5. dude ur right the end is near so theres no point bringing back martha kent but the return of lex luthor would be fantastic.
