Callum Blue as Zod
The executive producers of Smallville have revealed that Zod was originally intended to feature in two seasons.
The Kryptonian villain (played by Callum Blue) was defeated by Clark (Tom Welling) in the show’s ninth season finale.
Brian Peterson told Assignment X: “Callum had a two-year contract, but even though we had loved Callum, we felt we had really run the character’s arc out.”
However, he added that plans are underway to bring Zod back for the show’s final season, currently airing on The CW.
“We have hopes of having one great Zod episode,” he revealed. “Nothing set in stone, but we’re hopeful for this year.”
Co-producer Kelly Souders added: “We know what [the episode is] going to be.”
Smallville returns to The CW on January 28.

awesome!! I hope he comes back with his 2 thugs…but it has to be a one episode thing. with lex and darkseid we are running out of episodes. they could be 23 or 25 though, being the last season, why not?
I totally agree, Francis. 23-25 episodes for the final season will be a treat for the fans.
One great Zod episode is enough.
