Laura Vandervoort is set to reprise her role as Clark’s super cuz in Season 10

mangirl!Current V extra-terrestrial Laura Vandervoort has inked a deal to reprise her role as Clark’s Kryptonian cuz Kara during Smallville‘s 10th and final season, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Vandervoort—who left the show at the end of season 7 only to return briefly the following fall to wrap up Supergirl’s story—will be back for one episode (tentatively scheduled to air in October).
Smallville and V are both produced by Warner Bros., so it’s safe to say the actress’ comeback was signed off on faster than a speeding bullet.
Vandervoort is the second major Smallville alum to head back for the final season. Last month it was announced that John Schneider would appear in one, possibly two episodes as Clark’s late dad.

well its nice to see her back, but the most important thing which makes crazy is clarck has not yet started flying its will be of no use if he fly after waring the superman costume.
I think it’s awesome she’s coming back….but for only one episode….Supergirl is my most favourite superhero…….Leave her in the show…
I agree with @qalander I want to see Clerk fly before he puts on the superman costume like for Christ sake the first time Clerk flew was the best episode out of them all
I agree with the comments above. It’s good to see another Smallville alumnus back for an episode, hopefully Michael Rosenbaum will see this and agree to make at least a small appearance in season 10. If he doesn’t sign up, I think the writers will use a shot of Lex’s bald head from behind at some point (using another actor) to suggest that lex is actually alive (which we all know he is!)
I do however have some reservations about Kara coming back. If the writers continue the ‘Kara giving Clark flying (falling) lessons’ storyline from Season 7 I will be VERY annoyed. Even worse, if they put her in her costume before Clark (another possibility, given the episode title, ‘Supergirl’) this would be an insult to Clark’s character development. Clark is meant to discover flight and develop his alter-ego himself, perhaps assisted by Jor-El; not be shown up again by his cousin who up to now has made his development look retarded.
It would be easier obviously to have flight and some sort of prototype Superman costume in the Season 10 premiere, but we all know that’s not going to happen.
