More on Zod & a love triangle with Lois, Oliver and Clark
Come and kneel before Zod! Callum Blue has signed on for two seasons of SMALLVILLE and says he will be in 16 of the 22 episodes this year. So plan on a Zod heavy season fans. Meanwhile, Erica Durance is promising a bit of a love triangle involving Oliver Queen, Clark and Lois.
Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders say who is appearing this season & more
“We came into this season with 100 ideas, we have a lot of stories,” Souders says. “The studio wants to satisfy the fans. They are not going to tell us in episode 21 ‘Let’s end it.’ They are going to give it time.”

Clark Kent (Tom Welling) is getting a little obsessed as the Red Blue Blur, his budding crime-fighting alias. “He is trying a little too hard to be a hero, and is leaving the rest of his life behind,” says executive producer Brian Peterson. That might be just as well given the big comic-book-inspired villains the soon-to-be Superman will face this year including Metallo and Zod.
“Strained Relationship” between Chloe and Clark
We’re actually hearing of a “strained relationship” between Chloe and Clark next season on Smallville. Those two will always work together, and they will always be your “Chloe and Clark,” but expect some tension in season nine. Sorry guys.
Ausiello Scoop – Season 9, Spin-off, Zod, Clois and more…
The iconic “S” symbol will be all over the show in season 9. Including on Clark’s chest. It’s full-tilt-Clois. Brian Austin Green traded in that series regular gig on One Tree Hill for a two-episode arc on Smallville as DC Comics baddie Metallo.
Blu-ray disc in new slip case
The original artwork (of Clark and Lois shown inside the offices of The Daily Planet) was the correct artwork for general retail release. The new slip case is for the Blu-ray version.
