When you think of Christmas you get this warm and fuzzy feeling. All those nice things of good will toward men and peace on Earth. Now picture that gone! That would accurately describe this episode of Smallville. This might have well been a season finale cliffhanger because as for the Christmas break cliffy, this has to be the most awesome one ever! A word of warning: to keep the cliffhanger spirit alive, I will not be giving away some serious information. YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT!!!!!!!
First off, I want to clarify some spoilers there were put out there. There was a spoiler about changes in one of the relationships. Technically there was a change in 3 of them. Grant and Lois went form on fire to no more. Grant dumped her. Kind of sad right before Christmas but don’t go feeling sorry for Lois just yet. You should however feel very sorry for Grant. Seems he finds out that he is not who he thought he was and because of this he feels that he should break up with Lois. Then Chloe and Jimmy’s status changed. While in an elevator fighting for their lives since a nut put a bomb in her secret Santa present, she reveals that she is a meteor freak and they kiss. After a heroic save by Clark where he actually flew to the top of the planet building inside from the basement, Chloe and Jimmy discuss her ability. After healing him, Jimmy tells Chloe she is the same old Chloe. So, I guess that means that he and Kara are on the outs now. Might as well be since Clark didn’t find her.
Seems Lex hasn’t changed much. He had this cloning experiment, again, called Gemini and he escapes Belle Reve and tells Lois she either writes the truth about Lex or Chloe dies. After much work to tell Chloe what is up and getting knocked in the head by Lex, Adrian dies by Lex’s hand and the truth is buried since Lex now owns the Planet. Oh, you find out a truth but not one you would expect! And that is all I am going to say about that!
As for Clark, he comes back from the fortress and says he is just going to give up on Kara and just adjust to being the last one of his kind. Lana tells him she is going to give up on going after Lex and Clark tells her that they need to work together on this one to bring Lex down. Lana shows Clark all her Isis stuff and the Scion project as well. The two of them figure out that Lex had some how harvested Brainiac and that Fine was now loose and still very dangerous. In the end, Lana tells him that she was worried Clark would be scared off by what he had found out Lana was doing but he tells her that he loves her. Let me just warn you, Clark was acting weird the whole time that this episode was on. Very odd in deed.
Another little tidbit for you. There are two people on Smallville right now who are not who you think they are and I can also tell you that there is someone frozen in the Fortress. What pains me is that there will be no resolution until January 31, 2008 and we didn’t even get any hint at what there is to come. All I can say was this was another one of those ‘what the bleep’ sort of shows. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you want to smack the snot out of the writers for striking. I want my show back in its entirety, not stopped right before the good stuff in season 7. Yes, I am the slightest bit bitter about all of this. Can you tell?Well, to all of you from all of us, Happy Holidays! Make your holidays be every thing you’d hoped they’d be and may all your New Year wishes come true!
