Can I start this one again with OH MY GOD? It is so worth those three words! It was almost like this could have been a season finale cliffhanger! There were revelations that you would just not believe! And the whole thing with his mother was beautiful. It was one of the most amazing episodes yet!
I just can’t give it all away this time! You have to watch it! You will be blown away! There is a huge reveal by Grant that you will not believe! We were sitting on the couch and my hubby and I were sitting on the edge of our seats when he said that he was . . . !
Then Lara was calling to Clark and he releases her from her prison. Although it is not quiet her. Zor-el had trapped her in Kara’s crystal. Well it was her essence and it was all in Zor-el’s plan for this to happen so that he could take over the world and make it the new Krypton. But Clark, Lara, and Kara stopped him. Clark mainly but then Lara and Kara are gone. Kara is not completely gone. She is in Detroit and is clueless to who she is. Of course, Clark is blaming himself for Kara being gone and losing his Mom again. Lana tells him that he had gotten to see his mother and after meeting her, Lana did not know if she could ever get back from the dark abyss. Clark tells her that he understands that better than anyone. He tells her that she is already on her way after the way she helped his Mom. Then he hugged her and you could see that the love was there and she had hope. Then again Lara told her to not embrace the darkness that she needed to flee it before it over took her. Was it not cool that it was Lana who got to see Lara? I loved it. The only way it could have been better was if Martha had been there as well. That would have been the cream cheese icing on a devils food cake.
Lex and Grant seem to be good buddies, playing pool like he and Clark used to do. Seems he is trying to give some ‘brotherly’ advice to Grant about Lois. He knows that they are seeing each other. He tells Grant that Lois is too dangerous and he needs to break it off now. Grant goes back and the two of them say they are but they aren’t. After telling Chloe they had, Lois gets a text from Grant saying that he couldn’t wait to see her. Okay, how weird is it that the reporter is dating her editor? Lois started thinking that maybe she had gotten her job because he wanted her but he tells her no but that is what Chloe thought and she told Lois that was what everyone else would think. Where is this going? Interesting arc I have to say.
My question to the masses is what will Clark’s consequences be for defying Jor-el again? Will he take Clark’s powers? What would be the point in that? Clark would like that! Is he going to do something to Lana? Doubtful. She is part of the mythology and I don’t see that happening. Nor do I see it happening that he would do something to Lionel either. What about the idea that he had been protecting Clark from Kara trying to kill him? That was what happened in the comics. Maybe Jor-el has been keeping Kara from giving into her instincts. Who knows? All I know is I have 4 weeks to speculate.
This episode was like one of the most amazing so far. There was suspense and all of these reveals! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. But I have to wait and I despise waiting. I guess I’ll be stuck with reruns and enjoy my Thanksgiving!
